Okay guys. After doing some reading on what other people were having some success doing I figured why not give it a try because it wouldn't take me too long to set up. MySpace is either the 3rd or 4th most visited site in the United States and it's up there overseas as well so I figured I would set up a profile and add some people and see if I couldn't generate some traffic that way.

You can find my MySpace site here:
http://www.myspace.com/mouth_tlu

Let me know if you think this is a beneficial course of action.

I'm all over the forums (about three) as I don't want to spread myself too thin; as well as, approaching a few people who are successful in other endeavors that I am aware of, and now Myspace and Yahoo! Answers though I don't have my 360 set up yet (it's on the list of things to do).

Hopefully I can snag that first referral soon.

Let's ask another question to answer that one, what can it hurt?

All the exposure you can get as long as you stay away from the HYPE is all good in my book.

I put up a MySpace but I have a hard time pushing it because it's so slow and over run with teeny boppers. As a college kid, this might be just right for Ryan.

That's why I say everyone has to find their own venue, just find one. As long as you can reach out and touch someone there, it's right where you should be working.

The bottom line is follow Ryan's example and do SOMETHING . . . even if it's wrong (and his isn't) it's much better than doing nothing because you WILL learn. You can't help it.

Cheers,

--Warren

Until I see that it REALLY DOESN'T work I'm going to take the approach of marketing to the younger demographic. I want them to say, "well heck, if he can do it then why can't we?"

Will I get a few more people who sign up and quit after the first month? Probably so, but I've researched around and found that there are quite a bit of successful YOUNG online marketers out there. I read somewhere (and I don't know that it's true) that a 15 year old was earning passive income from some articles he wrote about video gaming that his aunt had posted for him.

I'm just going to try to be pro-active and positive and understand that this is likely a slow process. I want to plant my seed and then stick around to cultivate it and hopefully eventually it will grow and then I can help others do the same.

-thanks for the responses Warren

Don't forget to take advantage of the Bring Your Buddy Fun and Profit Podcast, I just posted another one today because I was gone over the weekend with family problems.

College age kids are nuts over Ipods and I tell them on each one to get back with the Buddy that had them listen. If they don't have an Ipod, use a computer. They are only 5 to 7 minutes long.

I would love to see how these go over at a college, it was my college son that got me started on them.

By the way, Warren, I really enjoy your podcasts! The last one, with the link to Zillow.com, was helpful. I passed that on to my son and his wife, who are going to be selling their condo soon.

Thanks,

Sally
