I have been thinking about how to market BYB to people who might not be already doing business on the internet.
Here's an idea that is starting to work for me.
I made up a flyer that I could print out and put it on a page on my site. You can find it at http://newconcepts.bybweb.com/flyer.html
I edited it until I could get it on one printable page and then printed out several copies and took them to work with me. I work in a small stamping plant and we have a break room like many other places of work. I just put 8 or 9 copies on the table that I normally go to on breaks and lunch. Then I watched people come in for their breaks and before the day was gone all the copies had been picked up. I answered a couple of simple questions but did not get into any specific answers, just told them to go to the site and see what they thought.
I have one person who is very interested in the possibilities, not of the money making aspect but of the tools available. He already has a couple of part time endeavers with auto sound systems and goes to a lot of auto shows to demonstrate.
I also posted the flyer in a few buletin boards in laundromats, grocery stores, etc. For these, I made up some small pieces of paper with the URL on it. You can do these on Microsoft Word or Works in 2 colums and about 8 per column. Cut the page with shears and use a thumbtack to put several on the bottom of the flyer.
This is just an idea that may appeal to someone. I just thought I would share it.
You have my permission to steal anything I have if it can help. Where do you think I get my ideas?
